The insulated
surface of polypropylene bulk bags can build and hold charges, often
for extended periods of time. The charge normally develops on the
bulk bag from the flow of material during the filling or discharging
process. Once sufficient charge has built up on the bulk bag, a brush
discharge can occur between the charged surface of the bulk bag and
any conductive equipment and/or personnel. The discharge can have
sufficient energy to ignite most solvent atmospheres and some very
sensitive dust atmospheres.
CROHMIQ-Blue
fabric is designed to reduce charge generation and promote corona
discharges. Corona discharges are very low energy discharges that
do not have sufficient energy to ignite flammable atmospheres, even
solvent atmospheres with minimum ignition energy of .10mJ. The CROHMIQ-Blue
fabric can help to protect your employees and assets from potential
electrostatic explosions by making the FIBC safe for use in flammable
environments.

bulk bags be constructed with CROHMIQ-Blue fabric to help add to the
safety of your packaging and handling process. Contact your AmeriGlobe
