SEMI-BAG WITH LINER |
Many companies have had issues with liners coming out of the bulk bags as they discharge or slipping down into the bulk bags as they are filled. Until the 'Perma' liner the best answer was an expensive preformed liner with Tabs taped to it. AmeriGlobe did not believe that that was the best answer. We decided that there had to be a way to attach a gusseted liner firmly to the bulk bag. The 'Perma' Liner was the result. The 'Perma' Liner uses circumferential glue lines to attach even a normal gusseted liner to a bulk bag.

CONE TOP TO FLAT TOP FABRIC TRANSPORT BAG |
If you have ever seen a coffee bag you have experienced the problem we were out to fix. Bulk Bags by their very nature are flexible. With nothing to support them they tend to slump, bulge, and sometimes even roll. Since the only thing available to support the bulk bag was the product itself, we knew we had to find a way to get the bag completely full and to keep the product locked down.
To do this we developed the Cone to Flat Top, also known as the Load 'n' Lock Top. This top forms a cone to allow the cone formed by the product to rise up above the shoulder of the bulk bag. Then we added a draw string to cinch up the excess fabric of the top sheet to Lock it into place.

PROCESS AND APPARATUS FOR APPLYING AN ADHESIVE TO THE INTERIOR SURFACE
OF A BULK BAG AND GLUEING A PLASTIC LINER WITHIN THE BAG |
Having an innovation like liner attachment is worthless without
a consistent way to apply it. We designed a machine to inflate
the bulk bag and spray circumferential glue lines. This machine applies
a consistent amount of glue.
The liner can then be placed into the bulk bag and inflated. The inflation of the liner ensures that the liner is positioned properly in the bag and creates pressure to help improve the adhesion between the bag and liner.

BULK BAG WITH INTERNAL BAFFLES |
Most companies offer baffle bags. AmeriGlobe offered them too, but we never liked the "pillowing" that happens on the sides of the bags. We experimented with various designs and cut out various patterns. Most of the holes in the baffles deform when stress is applied to them so we switched the shape to the one that can not deform, the triangle. AmeriGlobe's design makes getting the corners of the bulk bag full easier and gives the sides of the bags a smoother appearance.

DISCHARGE OUTLET FOR A BULK BAG UTILIZING A SIDE ENTRY RELEASE |
Many of our customers did not want to reach under the bulk bag to untie it for discharging because of safety concerns. AmeriGlobe's technical team worked to design a system that would allow both the drawstring and the tie to be released from the side of the bag. This is called the Remote Release Discharge.

METHOD FOR CLEANING BULK BAGS |
Increased landfill costs, increased resin costs and improved environmental awareness have increased the need for a safe way to reuse bulk bags. AmeriGlobe's bag manufacturing experience gave a firm base to inspect and repair bulk bags but there was still the problem of getting the bags clean. Some of our competitors were simply shaking the bags out, we wanted a better way.
AmeriGlobe's solution was a machine that used a combination of airflow and brushing. Our machine inflates the bulk bag and pushes it against a rapidly spinning brush. This action shakes loose the product on the inside and outside of the bulk bag. The integrated collection system gathers the removed product to be returned to the customer for reprocessing or disposal.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR STABILIZING BULK BAGS DURING EMPTYING |
We had a project for a customer that wanted to replace 1,100 lb boxes with our Portabulk bag. They used vacuums to remove the product from the boxes and did not want to change that part of their system. Since bulk bags are not free standing as they discharge, we had to develop a way to keep the bag upright while it is emptied. Our solution was a machine that tensions the bag and holds the vacuum wand vertical.

BULK BAG PALLET TUBE APPARATUS |
The changing regulation for imported and exported pallets are forcing companies to look at alternatives to standard wooden pallets. The idea of attaching plastic channels to the bottom of a bulk bag to act as a pallet replacement makes sense. The difficulty occurs when you try to hold the channels in place. After much testing we decided that something other than the tightness of the attachment was key to keeping the channels in place. AmeriGlobe developed a channel that was shaped to use the product in the bulk bag to help anchor it in place

BULK BAG WITH SUPPORT SYSTEM |
One of the issues companies have encountered when attaching plastic channels to the bottom of a bulk bag is a loss of stability when stacking and collapsing of the channels. To keep the cost of the channels low, suppliers make them as light as possible. To support the channels and improve the base for stacking, AmeriGlobe developed a way to allow the bag to come down between the channels in a controlled way. This greatly increases the surface area of the bottom of the bulk bag and takes 60% of the product weight off of the channels.
